Located just outside of Cornell's campus, Brookside is the perfect place for students and young professionals looking for a comfortable, affordable, and calm place to live.
Our History
Brookside Apartments was founded by the Indelicato family, specifically Salvatore Indelicato Jr. He also built and managed several other apartment complexes in Ithaca, NY. While we have since downsized our business and made Brookside the entirety of our complexes, many of his buildings are still operating in Ithaca today.
The house located at Brookside is the former building for the country club and golf course in Ithaca, before eventually being reimagined into the apartments you see today. The former Country Club of Ithaca was founded in March 1900 by a group of leading Ithaca business associates and distinguished professors at Cornell University. Professor Bancroft and the founding members were able to rent land from Cornell and build a clubhouse and 9-hole golf course on what is now Wyckoff Avenue.
Brookside holds a special place in our hearts and represents Sal's legacy and foundation for our family. We deeply care for our tenants and strive to provide the best experience we can. Tucked away on the outskirts of Cornell's campus, Brookside is the perfect place for students and young professionals to live.
